Jérôme Monnot

I received the extremely sad news of Jérôme Monnot passing away.  Jérôme Monnot was a Directeur de recherche at the LAMSADE, Universit ́e Paris-Dauphine. My first interaction with Jérôme happened when he along with his namesake  Jérôme Lang  invited me to LAMSADE, Universit ́e Paris-Dauphine as a visiting Professor in 2015. It was a very pleasant and fruitful summer in Paris where Jérôme Monnot as well as Jérôme Lang proved to be very gracious hosts. Jérôme Monnot had two striking features: a quick wit and an ability to grasp and solve problems in lightning speed. My visit to Paris in 2015 proved to be the start of multiple interesting projects on algorithmic aspects of committee voting and resource allocation. One project was wrapping only this month as we made some final changes to revised paper. Jérôme,  Au Revoir! Y ou will be missed!
