The Eccentric Lives of Steinhaus, Banach and Ulam
I came across an article on the brilliant group of mathematicians from Lvov from the first half of the 20th century. The article has fascinating snapshots of Hugo Steinhaus, Stefan Banach, Stanislaw Ulam. It is based on "The Brilliant Ones" a book by Mariusz Urbanek. Unfortunately, the book is in Polish.
